| Common Rail to P-Pump Conversion. | ||
As requested by many I finally have an update on the CR/P-Pump conversion. The conversion has been basically flawless since it's creation in early '05 and has been installed on 2 trucks with great success. The only modification that was made was a relocation of some mounting holes on the front cover to reduce gear drive noise. As much as I would like to sell this as a "one size fits all, bolt on kit" due to the broad range of pump\injector choices and varying engine/truck needs and applications. Each "kit" would have to be modified to fit the needs of each customer and their application. Perfect for someone who wants the reliability, fuel milage, and "cheap" hp of a mechanically controlled engine in their 3rd Gen Dodge without doing an engine swap while still utilizing the OEM gauge cluster. Or for those who are transplanting a Cummins from a Dodge to another vehicle. A CR engine with this conversion is just a streetable as any 12v or converted 24v in use today. All parts used except for the cover, injection lines and a few brackets are genuine Cummins, Bosch or Dodge. The use of cusom pieces was kept to a minium to lower costs and ease maintaince. On the competition side the advantages are obvious, huge amounts of FUEL and RPM!!! If your like most and feel that life begins at 5000rpm, and are tired spending huge amounts of money swapping boxes/programmers only to get shutdown by that pesky de-fuel and drained fuel rails. Then this conversion is for you Prices starting at. $4700.00 installed on most trucks. This price includes: Cover, injection lines, injectors (including hold downs), all necessary gears/brackets, belt/idler, timing pin. This price does not include injection pump, or core charge for injectors. In order to get the full benefit of this conversion (RPM), high performance valve springs and an aftermarket cam is HIGHLY recommended. (* not included) The injectors included in the price are stock but can be upgraded for a fee. Call or E-Mail for questions.
